Join City on a Roll 2027
Saturday 27 – Sunday 28 February 2027
City on a Roll is the return and evolution of Independence Australia’s former Accessibility Weekend. Across Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February 2027, participating attractions across Melbourne and regional Victoria will offer free entry for wheelchair and mobility aid users, plus one guest.
Timed ahead of International Wheelchair Day on 1 March, the event is designed to encourage greater participation, inclusion and access to experiences across Victoria.
We are inviting attractions, venues and experiences across Victoria to join us and help create a weekend where more people can get out, explore and participate.

How we’ll support participating venues
We’ll help make your participation visible, clear and easy to manage.
City on a Roll will be supported by a coordinated campaign designed to build awareness of the event, showcase participating experiences and help wheelchair and mobility aid users plan their weekend with confidence.
Independence Australia will work closely with participating venues throughout the campaign, helping bring together the information, content and promotional activity needed to support both your involvement and the visitor experience.
Campaign promotion
Participating venues will have the opportunity to be featured as part of City on a Roll campaign activity across relevant Independence Australia channels. This will include website content, social media, email communications, venue spotlights and broader promotional activity designed to help audiences discover participating experiences and plan where they would like to visit.
Clear visitor information
We know that having the right information before visiting a venue can make a significant difference. We’ll work with you to clearly communicate your accessibility features, participating offer, booking requirements, and any other practical details visitors should know before they arrive.
Campaign coordination
Our team will work directly with participating venues to make the process as straightforward as possible. We’ll coordinate the collection of venue details, approved imagery, accessibility information and campaign content, and provide participating venues with the information and assets needed to support promotion through their own channels.
