Under sunny skies and with plenty of enthusiasm, more than 130 supporters hit the greens to raise over $60,000 at Independence Australia’s 19th Daddo Charity Golf Day.
Originally founded through the shared vision of the Daddo family and Independence Australia, the event came about to raise awareness and vital funds to support people with acquired spinal cord injuries and disability after their son and brother Jamie was left confined to a life in a wheelchair with an acquired brain injury from a severe road accident.

As co-founder Peter Daddo said, “When we started the Golf Day back in 2004, we never expected it would grow to have the incredible support it does today. The generosity of so many people has provided immense benefits to those in need, and on behalf of my family, I thank you all sincerely and hope you enjoy the day and its many attractions.”

The Daddo Charity Golf Day has become a highlight on our annual calendar and plays an important role in raising funds for the continuation of supports where funding gaps occur for people with a disability or other personal needs, their families and loved ones.

Since its inception in 2005, the event has raised over $750,000 and has grown into a major annual fundraiser, well-known within both the corporate and golfing communities.
