Independence Australia Group Limited Completes Acquisition of Possability Group
01 September 2025
Independence Australia Group Limited (IAG) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its acquisition of Possability Group, effective 1st of September 2025.
As part of this strategic transition, IAG and Possability have confirmed that Peter Turner, current Independence Australia Group Managing Director and CEO, will lead the combined organisation as Managing Director and CEO. Under his leadership, the organisation will continue to build on IAG’s strong foundation of delivering high-quality, safe, and sustainable services aligned with its core purpose.
“The acquisition represents a significant milestone, uniting two purpose-driven organisations with a shared commitment to supporting people living with disability and their families”, said Mr Turner.
Possability Group will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of IAG, enabling the organisation to expand its reach and unlock new opportunities in Child and Family Services, while continuing to strengthen its core Disability Services.
“The majority of funding has been successfully novated,” said Mr Turner. “We continue to work closely with the NSW Government to complete the remaining steps in this process.”
Throughout the acquisition, IAG’s priority has remained clear: ensuring continuity of support for customers, stability for staff, and transparency for stakeholders.
Looking ahead, the integration of Possability Group into IAG is expected to enhance service delivery, broaden impact, and reinforce a sustainable future. By combining expertise, resources, and shared values, the organisation is well-positioned to make an even greater difference in the lives of those it serves.
