Independence Australia and Possability Group Unite to Enhance Disability and Community Supports
Independence Australia Group (IAG) and Possability Group have entered into an agreement for Possability to join IAG. This partnership unites two respected, purpose-driven organisations committed to supporting people living with disabilities, children, young people, and families.

This strategic step forward builds on the strengths and values of both organisations. It brings together IAG’s extensive experience in personal care, daily supports, accessible housing and community services with Possability’s highly regarded national NDIS and specialist child and family support services.

Peter Turner, CEO of Independence Australia Group, said the partnership reflects a shared ambition to deliver broader and more responsive services for the people they support.

“We are excited to welcome Possability into the Independence Australia Group,” he said.

“Together, we are seeking to create a stronger, future-ready organisation—one that can meet the evolving needs of the communities we support and deliver quality, safe and sustainable person-centred services into the future.”

Possability Group, known for its personalised and values-led approach, provides disability and child and family services across Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland. The organisation empowers individuals to live independently, achieve their goals and actively participate in community life.

Possability CEO, Ros Blakley, emphasised that this partnership enables both organisations to stay true to their purpose while creating new opportunities for innovation and impact.

“This new chapter allows us to deepen our impact and expand our reach”, she said.

“Our shared purpose and complementary expertise create new opportunities to innovate, especially in the areas of complex care and child and family services.”

Both organisations are committed to ensuring clients continue to receive uninterrupted support during this change. A dedicated team will guide the transition to ensure the process is smooth, clear, and focused on the needs of the people we support.
The acquisition is subject to customary approvals and transition processes. Leadership teams from both IAG and Possability are committed to a thoughtful and well-communicated integration, working closely with staff, clients and stakeholders throughout the process.
