Trusts and foundations

A number of generous trusts and foundations support our work each year with grants linked to specific projects. Recent examples of trust and foundation support for new projects include funding for:

  • a trial program working with the Indigenous community to deliver greater access for Aboriginal people with a disability
  • new initiatives to strengthen families caring for a loved one with a disability either through information, face-to-face peer support or by harnessing new technologies
  • the development of e-learning giving access to information and training to people in regional and rural areas
  • the purchase of equipment to improve the amenity of our residential facilities

In addition the Robert Rose Foundation has supported our work over many years with a particular emphasis on funding our psychology and counselling services. The Foundation commemorates Robert Rose, a champion Collingwood footballer who acquired a spinal cord injury in 1999.
